Commissions

If you are looking for a painting in a particular colour palette, or you have a specific wall space and nothing you've found feels quite right, a commission might be the answer.

My process is intuitive. I work in layers, responding to the painting as it develops rather than following a plan. That is what gives the work its energy, but it also means I cannot show you a sketch of what it will look like before I begin. What I can do is listen carefully to what you are drawn to, and work with colour and feeling from there.

How it works

Stage 1 — Proposal

We start with a conversation about size, colour, and the paintings of mine you are most drawn to.

Once we have agreed on the details, you pay a 30% deposit to secure your place.

Stage 2 — The work (1-2 months)

For paintings up to 80 x 100 cm, I create two paintings with similar colour ways. Once I am happy with them, I share photos and video so you can choose your favourite. You then approve the work, subject to minor revisions, and I finish and varnish the paintings. They will need to dry for around 2-3 weeks before shipping.

For paintings larger than 80 x 100 cm, I focus entirely on one work, due to the scale and process.

Up to two revisions are included in both cases. So far, no one has required one.

If the painting is not what you had hoped for, you are under no obligation to complete the purchase. I keep the paintings, and your deposit can be put toward any other work in my collection.
